The Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner has many advantages over competition

The Flip-Pal Mobile Photo and Document Scanner
There is not much competition for the the Flip-Pal Scanner because there are nothing available in a portable or mobile scanner that compares.  Consider the multiple patented features that come standard on the Flip-Pal and you will be eliminating most competitors.  The only truly mobile scanner that I would actually consider mobile is the Vupoint Magic Wand Scanner.  All the other so called portable scanners can not work unless they are tethered to the computer with a USB cord. How scanner be called portable when you have to attach to the computer.  I can see that it is easier to move from place to place but without the ability function away from the computer I would not consider it a mobile scanning option.

The Flip-Pal is fully battery powered and can be operated anywhere as long as the batteries have power.   The patented Flip and Scan technology allows you to see through the scanner so you can scan that remain on the wall.  The Flip-Pal can even make a very clear scan of a picture that is framed.  You will never have to touch the picture or remove it from the frame and risk damage.  Your old family photos will be able to remain safe and sound in their frame while also being recorded digitally to keep a copy on your computer.

The Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner has the capacity to scan large documents that no sheet fed scanner or no flat bed scanner can do because of the amazing stitching software that comes with the creative suite package.  You can take multiple partial scans of a document and have the software "stitch" it back together for you into one seamless document.  All you have to do is crop the edges and you be amazed at the quality.

The Flip-Pal is the perfect size and it easily fits in your brief case.  It has the ability to be used with a USB stick or Micro disk so you can scan almost anything at anytime.  If you are at the store, home or the office you can scan anything you will need to reference later.

Don't miss out on the holiday season deals that may allow discounted shipping and handling.  The Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner is the perfect present for a Merry Christmas.

Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner by Couragent Started due to a Layoff

The Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner Inventor and Founder Gordon Nutall interviewed by Money Magazine and taken from the Money.CNN Website.

(MONEY Magazine) -- After 31 years with Hewlett-Packard, Gordon Nuttall was just one year shy of earning full retirement benefits when he was laid off in October 2008. "It was a bit of a surprise," says Nuttall, who'd worked as a software program manager. "And management wasn't willing to make an exception for me."
Not ready to retreat from the workforce anyway, Nuttall began searching for a position like the one he'd had. What he found was a saturated job market.
"Because I was networking so much, I could see there was a wealth of talent available -- people who were downsized or had decided against retirement because their 401(k) had shrunk to a 201(k)," he says.

After discovering kinship with a group of five other tech castoffs, however, he became convinced that together they could form a blockbuster startup team.
Nuttall, who'd been part of a group that launched several lines of business within HP (HPQ, Fortune 500), began tossing around product ideas.
The six settled on one they found particularly promising: a portable, battery-operated scanner that could store images on a flash memory card.
The technology for such a device already existed. So did the audience, they figured: Scrapbooking hobbyists -- a universe of at least 17 million -- would be likely to want such a scanner, since it would allow them to digitize photos and heirlooms when away from a home computer.
Nuttall and one of his partners worked up a business plan. Another member of the team, an expert in supply chains, arranged for them to visit manufacturers in Asia.
In January 2010, Couragent -- a name reflecting the founders' shared spunk --officially launched. By October, they introduced the Flip-Pal scanner, at a retail price of $150.
At first, Flip-Pal was sold only over its own website, but after Nuttall sent a sample to Amazon.com, the online giant agreed to carry it.
In November a segment on the Home Shopping Network resulted in sales of about 700 devices. "The network's fulfillment partner ran out of product!" says Nuttall, who is CEO. Fortunately, Couragent's staff -- one other full-timer and 24 independent contractors -- had prepared for the possibility, making sure the company had extra inventory ready to go.
This year Nuttall expects revenue to hit $2.5 million. He'll take home about $16,000, a fraction of his previous $170,000 salary. But in five years, he envisions matching his prior pay, while running a $16 million company with five products. (Couragent just announced a commercial version of Flip-Pal designed to scan full-page documents.)
"We're doing interesting work in a creative environment," says Nuttall, who owns 26% of the company. "This is exactly what I was looking for.

The Couragent Company is doing will and they Flip-Pal is their flagship product with its Creative Suite but they are improving and innovating constantly and will have 5 products on the market eventually.  This is a great mobile scanner.  Buy one Here today and you will not be disappointed.

Flip Pal Scanner Is So Much Fun

CLICK for the

The Flip Pal is going to be a huge hit this year.  It is a revolutionary scanner that makes portable scanning a breeze.  Its size could have been a drawback because it would have allowed scanning of postcard size objects.  However, Rocky Mountain Ventures Company has added the brilliant stitching software that will take several sectional scans of an object and splice it back together so it looks like on single scan.

The Flip Pal is so unique and fun.  It has a see through bed that has glass on top and bottom.  If you want to scan something on the wall just take the cover off the bottom of the Flip Pal and you can see exactly what you are scanning.  You will have so much fun scanning everything and everything from wall photos to postcards.

The price on the Flip Pal won’t make you Flip out either.  For less than $150.00 you get to have the latest in scanner technology.  It is fair to say that this scanner is the latest and maybe the greatest and it has already been showered with several awards for the best new innovation.

Why did the The Flip-Pal win the Overall Innovation Award? Click here to see the full article.

The Flip-Pal makes it possible to scan photos, images in books and magazines, and similar works of art anywhere, any time with no connection to a computer. The resulting digital files can then be stored and shared. The battery powered flatbed scanner is about the size of a typical netbook computer. The patented "flip-and-scan" technology allows the hinged cover to be removed and the scanner placed face down on top of a old family album, for instance, without having to remove pictures that might be fragile or glued down. The included stitching software enables users to reassemble multiple 4x6 inch scans later into a larger image on their computer.

The Flip Pal Video from Inventor's convention

Flip-Pal™ Mobile Scanning on sale

I had thought I had seen everything when it comes to scanners but the FlipPal Mobile scanner is fascinating and fun.  The special "stitching" software makes the nearly impossible task of scanning full page documents with a scanner that is only 1/3 the size of the typical page very simple.

The Flip as the Flip-Pal company has coined its mini star is a mini scanner.  As you can see, it looks like a micro version of a flat bed scanner with a see through bottom.  If you have not seen The FlipPal in action watch the short video here.

The "stitching" makes up for the smaller scanning area.  It works like a charm also.  You can run the scanner over a large document one part at at time.  For example, if you will need 4 separate scans to capture a picture on the wall, just scan it 4 times by imagining the pictures divided in to four squares.   You then scan one "box" at a time to cover the entire picture.

After this you get to see the magic of The FlipPal software.  I still can't believe it works.  My first reaction was that this was a cute scanner but it is basically useless unless you intend on scanning post cards.  However, FlipPal blew me away when the software takes all 4 separate scans and creates one larger seamless document  that will be viewable on your computer.  You can then print, email, copy and edit the picture or document just like any other scan on your PC or laptop.

The FlipPal is definitely worth the money, I would imagine the software alone could be sold for nearly the price of the scanner.  You can buy The FlipPal for under $150.

Compare the prices of The Flip, to Vupoint Magic Wand Scanner, or TryNeat with Neatreceipts and NeatDesk.  The Flip-Pal falls right in the middle and is not over priced.  Definitely a 10.
